Our Organization
The Dothan Newcomers Club is designed to help cultivate fellowship among women who are new to the Dothan/Wiregrass area of Alabama or who have recently had a significant life change. Our group helps to facilitate involvement in area civic activities and provides avenues for social life during the transition to the area. The Club contributes to community organizations and charities through annual fundraising events.
While participation in our various social activities is always optional, we do require members to participate and/or support the club in fundraising and club sponsored community activities. DNC is a partner in education with Honeysuckle Middle School which provides a number of ways our members can become involved.
If you have either moved to the area within the past three years OR have experienced a life change (such as retirement, change of marital status or loss of spouse, etc.), you are eligible to join the Newcomers Club. We suggest that you attend one of our meetings to get to know the group. Contact the Newcomers’ President, Elaine Brackin, to find out when and where the next meeting will be. We’d love to have you join us.
